During the excursion you can feel the spirit of miners' work and try yourself as a miner.
Mine "Oktiabrska" is one of the largest enterprises of Ukraine on preparation of raw materials for metallurgical complex of Ukraine and countries of Eastern Europe, it was commissioned in 1957. The mine has a complex infrastructure, buildings of which are spread over an area of 595 hectares. Most of them you can examine during exploring the surface part of the mine.
Educational and Training Center, which was opened on April 1, 2001, is located near the mine. There is a unique training ground (a model of mine workings) with operating machines and mechanisms. The Center holds trainings and practical lessons on working with them. During the excursion everyone can try himself as a miner while practicing at using the training equipment.
Note: descent into the underground part of the mine during the excursion is not planned.
