The city of Kryvyi Rih is not only wonderful during the day hours; the city is as much impressing during the night hours. Surrounded by dumps and divided by broad and beautiful streets and avenues, this city seems to invite an observer to have a look deep into its heart while covered with the shadows and shining stars of a clear and serene night sky.
A unique beauty of the night city is equally beautiful whether to admire it from the bird’s-eyes view or from the sidewalks.
From the bird’s eye view one can admire the most beautiful cityscape. There are two points in the KryvyiRih city, with a panoramic sight of the city. They are – Burshytskyi and Petrovskyi dumps. They are located on the high watersheds and their very height reach 50-100 meters. It seems that you got to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Burshytskyi dump gives a marvelous view of the whole Tsentralno-Miskyi and Dzerzhynskyi districts suffused with yellow and white light of street torches; you can also see the largest metallurgic enterprise of Europe “Arcelor Mittal KryvyiRih” from here, as well as dark open pits illuminated with excavators and powerful BelAZ’es and chimney stacks of the two ore mining and processing enterprises (“Southern” and former “Petropavlivskyi”). Petropavlivskyi dump represents a panoramic view of the city’s residential areas – Saksaganskyi and Zhovtnevyi districts, with especially delightful view of projectors and red lights of the high copra of the “Rodina”, “Zhovtneva”, “Yuvileyna” and “Artem-1” mines.
However, the night city is much interesting within the residential districts. One can enjoy the modern night view of some streets and squares of Kryvyi Rih. The most beautiful street at night is Musorgskogo one, where there are two rows of orange lights and every tree is embraced by garlands of colorful lights, illuminated squares and finally the street is decorated with a light and music fountain.
The renovated Pivdennyi Avenue is decorated in a similar way as well as the main street of the city Karl Marx Avenue, equipped with a new musical fountain and a city academic theater shines with colourful illumination which changes rhythmically like the city during its industrial life.
The adornment of the city is Radyanska square in front of the building of the Executive Committee of the City Council, where the darkness of the night is driven away by the lights of the world's largest flower clock, 3D video gallery, a light and music fountain, a great number of orange lanterns. A very tall bell tower of Saint George is gleaming with night lights of projectors at the Myr Avenue.
