Central Mining and Concentration Complex Kryvyi Rih is an enterprise specializing in mining, processing and production of raw materials for the steel industry - iron ore and pellets. It is the only enterprise in Ukraine, which uses both open and underground ore mining methods at the same time.

In 1954 the Central Committee of the CPSU and the USSR Council of Ministers issued a Decree "On the design and construction of the Central Mining and Concentration Complex based on the deposits of oxidized magnetite hornfels "Velyka Hleyuvatka"; in 1957 Ministry of Iron and Steel Industry of USSR approved the project brief for the construction of Kryvyi Rih Central Mining and Concentration Complex with an annual capacity of 18 million tons of raw ore per year (9 million tons of oxidized and 9 million tons of unoxidized ores).

The official birthday of the Central Mining and Concentration Complex is considered to be 23 December, 1961. In 1997, the enterprise became a part of the open joint stock company "Metinvest Holding". In 2011, the enterprise was transformed into Open Joint Stock Company "Central Mining and Concentration Complex."
